North America

In North America, Penske Truck Leasing provides full-service commercial truck leasing, commercial rental trucks, truck fleet maintenance, 24/7 roadside assistance and other ancillary support services to help truck fleets operate efficiently.

Penske operates and maintains a truck fleet of more than 327,000 vehicles and employs over 33,000 associates worldwide. In the U.S. Penske leases and rents trucks from leading brands. The company sets an industry standard in the servicing and maintenance of its fleet.

Australia Expansion

Recognizing a market growth opportunity, Penske established a new presence in Australia in 2013 by acquiring a distributor of commercial vehicles, parts and aftermarket support across Australia, New Zealand, and portions of Southeast Asia.

This business distributes heavy- and medium-duty trucks for Western Star, MAN Truck and Bus, and Dennis Eagle through a network of over 80 independent dealers while serving customers across a number of industries, including on-highway, logistics, construction, mining, manufacturing, agricultural and waste/refuse collection. This business unit eventually became "Penske Commercial Vehicles" and it is a subsidiary of Penske Automotive Group.

Penske Truck Rental Arrives in Australia

In 2014, Brisbane, Australia-based Penske Commercial Vehicles and U.S.-based Penske Truck Leasing, Co., L.P. formed a new venture to offer commercial truck rental and leasing services. The collaboration combines Penske Truck Leasing's fleet operations expertise with the market knowledge of Penske Commercial Vehicles. Together, the group now rents heavy-duty commercial vehicles in Australia under the well-known brand "Penske Truck Rental."

Today, through its businesses in Australia, Penske rents, leases and sells new and used commercial vehicles. The organization remains committed to its tradition and values of partnering with customers to provide superior service and high-quality, well-maintained vehicles.
